4G networks work 10 times faster than 3G connections which mean you do not have to wait at all. At the moment Vodafone would be covering some areas of London only. Whereas, O2 would launch 4G networks in two more cities such as Leeds and Bradford.
Before these companies only EE gave this facility but now these two companies would be giving strong competition. Although, competing with EE is not stress-free because the company already covers 105 towns and cities.
The good news from O2 is that the service would be provided without any extra cost to the existing customers and would offer unlimited data packages. Though, full details are yet to be announced. In addition, both companies are taking help from music and football to attract the customers and prospects.
Shortly, O2 claims that by the end of this year 10 cities would be covered whereas, Vodafone plans to cover 12 city until the end of 2013. On the other hand, 3 claim that by the end of 2014, 50 cities would be covered.
There are many countries like Japan, Australia, and South Korea who are already using 4G networks. Conversely, people in the UK might have to wait until the end of 2015 to get full coverage.
It is good news that companies such as Vodafone and O2 are on their way to launch 4G Networks because it is a sign that organizations of England are also putting in some effort towards technology or else the country would lack behind. It is now the right time to race against time as London is undoubtedly one of the most important cities of the world and should therefore have all the facilities a city with technology needs.
