“The Big Draw” is an event which takes place in nearly 15 countries and is very popular. Approximately 200,000 people are expected. Undoubtedly, London gives a huge support to the event and many people take part in it.
Simply, the main purpose of The Big Draw is to enjoy drawing. Also, to encourage people to draw and understand how important the art is. Moreover, drawing gives a bit of relief to people and to some it means passion or life.
There are thousands who want to get recognized but are not in a phase to express their drawings. Unquestionably, this event gives an opportunity for those who think out of the box.
In addition, the event is somehow a medium to connect people. Through this event many artists would be able to communicate and see each other’s work.
Furthermore, the event is starting from 1st of October 2013 and ends at 1st of November 2013. The event is organized by the Campaign of Drawing. Campaign of Drawing is a charity which promotes art as education and believes that art is a marvelous way to connect people socially.
The highlights of the event are plant drawing which would take place at Chelsea Physic Garden, sketches of fashion at Victoria and Albert Museum. Also, in London Canal Museum “tomorrow’s canals” drawing would take place. Likewise, last but not the least you would have a chance to become apprentice of an artist at the National Gallery in the 15th century technique of silver point.
